Sakai Takayuki is one of the most renowned names among knife enthusiasts and collectors worldwide. Established in Sakai (Osaka), the company boasts over 600 years of knife-making tradition. Since the 16th century, Sakai Takayuki has been producing knives, originally designed for cutting and trimming tobacco in the Sakai region. Itsuo Doi, one of the brand’s most famous blacksmiths, was the grandson of the legendary craftsman Keijiro Doi.
