Sakai Takayuki is one of the most respected names among knife enthusiasts and collectors. Founded in Sakai (Osaka), the brand has a knife-making history of over 600 years. Since the 16th century, Sakai Takayuki has been producing knives, originally crafted for cutting and trimming tobacco in the Sakai region. Itsuo Doi, one of the brand’s most famous blacksmiths, was the grandson of the legendary craftsman Keijiro Doi.
This Nakiri knife features a handle made from Spanish Mahogany Pakkawood, resin-infused with epoxy for exceptional strength, moisture resistance, and durability. Its smooth finish and elegant wood tone provide both functionality and beauty.
