Description:
Sakai Takayuki is one of the most renowned names among knife enthusiasts and collectors. Established in Sakai, Osaka, the brand carries more than 600 years of tradition in Japanese knife-making. Since the 16th century, Sakai Takayuki has been producing knives, originally crafted for cutting and trimming tobacco leaves. Among its legendary craftsmen is Itsuo Doi, grandson of the famous Keijiro Doi, one of Japan’s most respected blacksmiths.
This Gyuto is beautifully crafted with 33-layer Damascus steel surrounding a V Gold 10 core, providing excellent sharpness, durability, and edge retention. The knife is paired with a Spanish Mahogany Pakkawood handle, resin-infused for added strength, moisture resistance, and long-lasting durability, while still maintaining a smooth wooden feel and elegant appearance.
