MAC MV Knife Chef Series Chef Knife 180 mm
Description
MAC Corporation – HB-70 Chef Knife (Gyuto)
About the Maker:
Founded in 1965 by Mr. Tasuo Kobayashi, MAC Corporation was born from Kobayashi-san’s personal experience as a chef in Chicago, where he realized the limitations and dangers of typical heavy, thick European knives. Determined to create knives that were sharper, safer, more precise, comfortable, and long-lasting, he established MAC in Japan.
MAC knives are all handcrafted by skilled blacksmiths in Seki, Gifu Prefecture, a city renowned for traditional knife making. Kobayashi-san also pioneered a unique double-bevel system combining European Ryoba on one side with Japanese Kataba on the other, providing unmatched control, sharpness, and slicing precision. MAC knives are highly favored by professional chefs worldwide for their performance and ergonomic design.
