Japanese Knife Misono MV Gyuto 210mm Made in Japan
Description
Misono
Founded in 1935, Misono has remained a small, family-run company for decades. The company initially produced kitchen tools like vegetable peelers before entering the knife-making industry in the late 1960s. Today, Misono is known as the oldest Japanese knife maker specializing in Western-style handles.
With only 50 employees, Misono produces about 150,000 knives per year. Every component of their knives is crafted in-house, ensuring the highest quality standards with rigorous inspections on every knife produced.
The Gyuto is an all-purpose knife, commonly used in everyday kitchen tasks. It is considered the go-to knife for chefs and home cooks alike, designed to handle a variety of cutting tasks with ease.
This model is part of the Misono MV (Molybdenum Vanadium) series, made with stainless steel that resists oxidation and discoloration. It is Misono’s most affordable line, offering a balance of performance and durability. The thin profile of the blade allows for long-lasting sharpness, and the knife can be resharpened over time without losing its edge.
