Nigara Hamono Anmon SG2 Damascus Kiritsuke Gyuto 210 mm

Nigara Hamono 198 mm Gyuto

With a remarkable 350-year heritage, Nigara Hamono began forging blades for the Tsugaru clan during the early Edo period. Their exceptional knowledge and knife-making skills have been carefully passed down through eight generations.

The fifth-generation master, Kunitoshi Nigara, was celebrated as a legendary sword maker and won numerous prestigious awards. Today, the craft continues under the eighth-generation blacksmith Tsuyoshi Yoshizawa, working alongside his father Toshiju Yoshizawa, whose passion for art and music inspired the iconic Anmon pattern—a design influenced by the works of Andy Warhol.

Thanks to their unparalleled steel-forging expertise and artistic touch, Nigara Hamono is recognized as one of Japan’s finest knife makers.
